Uneo Chooses Ivalua Buyer to Optimize its Purchasing Process

Redwood City, March 19, 2013 – Uneo, a leading health insurance provider for active duty and retired military, opted for the complete Ivalua Buyer V7 solution to streamline its purchasing process. The tool will allow Uneo to manage purchase orders, insure a budgetary control and provide configurable workflow functionality to validate purchase requisitions. “The choice of Ivalua Buyer was based on the practical and functional solutions the product offers. We chose a solution that was easy to use, simple, ergonomic, and that completely answered our issues around decentralized management and our need for the automation of the purchasing process management” says Bianca De Oliviera, Senior Project Manager, Uneo.

Uneo, which provides complementary health insurance for more than one million people in the military community, choses to deploy a single, collaborative e-Procurement solution to allow the company to streamline its sourcing process. A particular emphasis will be put on its portfolio of intellectual services, and also on enhancing the analysis of supplier performance. The implemented Ivalua Buyer V7 solution will be structured around the following modules: an e-Sourcing module to handle all the RFx ; a Repository and Supplier Evaluation module to manage the supplier data base ; an Intellectual services module; and finally, an e-Procurement module, in order to handle the different steps of the Procure-to-Pay cycle.

With all these purchasing functionalities gathered in the same solution, Uneo will have a complete and real time visibility of its purchasing activities, from the purchase order to the online management of invoices, via contract management. “We are of course very pleased that Uneo is trusting us in integrating a whole range of essential modules in the management and optimization of its purchasing performance. Our collaboration allows us to strengthen our position in the health insurance sector”, concludes Gérard Dahan, VP Marketing & Communication of Ivalua.
